Online therapy sessions
Online therapy sessions are a way to connect with your clinical psychologist from home
The world of healthcare is changing. With the technology being so useful, psychological therapy is now available in the comfort of your home or if you are away traveling.
And with the evolution of secure videoconferencing platforms, psychological therapy can now be conducted safely and securely on-line. Secure video conferencing works in similar ways to Facetime and Skype.
Is online therapy effective?
Online psychological therapy has been shown to be effective in treating a range of mental health difficulties.
How does it work?
Online psychological therapy sessions work just the same as in-person consultations. Your session will run for 75 or 50 mins depending on your needs at the time of booking. Your clinical psychologist will spend time getting to know you and what brought you to your appointment (find out more here).
We will send you a form to complete prior to your session, this form is easy to complete and does not require a printer.
At the time of your scheduled session, your clinical psychologist will send you an email with a link to join the online session. Click on the link and your session will begin. Find out how to prepare for your first online session here.
Do I need any special equipment?
A computer, laptop, mobile device or mobile phone with a camera, is all you need for online therapy.
