Private practice in West Perth and/or Claremont

We are seeking a clinical psychologist or clinical psychology registrar to join the growing and supportive team at Lawson Clinical Psychology. We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual who is passionate about providing evidence-based psychological therapy, can work independently but also enjoys working in a team environment.

About the position

The role is being offered as a full-time employed position with a remuneration structure that provides the security of a salaried position whilst also allowing you to scale your income. A CPD allowance is also included in the package. The position may be offered a part time position or contracting arrangement.

About you:
  • Be passionate, enthusiastic, and confident.
  • Skill and experience in providing a broad range of evidence-based psychological interventions including cognitive-behavioural therapy.
  • Experience in providing psychological services to children, adolescents and/or adults
  • Have a master’s and/or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
  • Be eligible for registration with AHPRA as an endorsed “Clinical Psychologist” or eligibility for the clinical psychology registrar program
  • Be eligible for Medicare registration.
  • Have professional indemnity insurance
Skills required:

Client Relationship Officer

Full-time / Part-time | West Perth and Claremont

We are seeking a Client Relationship Officer to join our growing and supportive team at Lawson Clinical Psychology. We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual who is passionate about providing excellent customer support, can work independently but also enjoys working in a dynamic team environment.

This is a full-time/part-time position working across both our West Perth and Claremont clinics and would include working until 7:30 pm two nights a week.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Greeting clients – Ensuring our clients are warmly welcomed, made to feel safe and supported.
  • Answering client’s questions – Understanding client needs and being helpful
  • Booking client appointments – Using the latest booking software
  • Managing client accounts – Keep client information up-to-date and secure.
  • Responsible for managing busy telephone traffic.

About you:

  • Experienced in customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Dr Clair Lawson

 

Dr Clair Lawson leads the professional, growing and diverse Lawson Clinical Psychology practice. Adopting a range of evidence-based approaches, Clair draws on 18 years of experience in child and adolescent mental health to inform her therapy for clients of all ages – with particular expertise in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

 

An active member of the clinical psychology field, Clair publishes papers and presents at international conferences. She also provides clinical supervision for her practice and Master of Clinical Psychology students at the University of Western Australia.

Sarah Hollingworth Clinical Psychologist

Sarah Hollingworth

 

Sarah Hollingworth works with adolescents and adults. Sarah provides a warm, non-judgemental and supportive environment, tailoring treatment to the individual. She works with people who have experienced anxiety, trauma, school or relationship stresses. She uses a number of evidence based treatments including cognitive behavioural therapy, schema therapy, family systems therapy and mentalization-based therapy.

Gemma has experience working with a range of presenting problems including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, OCD, emotion dysregulation, insomnia and trauma (adults only) in children, adolescents, and adults. In her client work, she draws from a range of evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioural therapy, metacognitive therapy, and schema therapy.

Gemma has also completed training in imagery re-scripting for PTSD, and in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

DR Melissa Mulcahy Clinical Psychologist

Melissa Mulcahy

 

Melissa is a Clinical Psychologist (Registrar) who works with adolescents and adults. She is experienced in working with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, worry and rumination, suicidality, self-harm, bulimia nervosa, emotional dysregulation, and in youth mental health. Melissa completed PhD in Clinical Psychology with a thesis on perinatal OCD (pregnancy and the postpartum) and also holds a Master of Suicidology degree. She has a strong interest in the treatment of tic disorders and OCD-related problems, including health anxiety, body dysmorphic disorder, and body-focused repetitive behaviours (BFRBs) such trichotillomania and excoriation/skin-picking.

She also enjoys working with clients experiencing perinatal mental health difficulties, insomnia, perfectionism, and chronic pain. Her therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and practical. Janice is passionate about working with children, youths, families and adults to help better understand and improve mental health. She is also enthusiastic about helping people find their “spark”. Yosi is a registered psychologist and clinical psychology registrar with experience working with a diverse range of clinical presentations. Yosi's current clinical interests include, but are not limited to: obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders including phobia, social anxiety, generalised anxiety, depression, assertiveness training, and adoption issues.

Yosi places the therapeutic relationship first to create a warm environment where clients feel safe to collaboratively explore their difficulties. Yosi utilises a variety of validated psychological interventions to support children (10 years and older), adolescents, and adults in reaching their goals.

Yosi has completed four years of undergraduate study, two years of masters study, and is currently completing his PhD candidature.

Gemma has experience working with a range of presenting problems including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, OCD, emotion dysregulation, insomnia and trauma (adults only) in children, adolescents, and adults. In her client work, she draws from a range of evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioural therapy, metacognitive therapy, and schema therapy.
